Bryan Garnier Credit Fund is a bond fund invested in short-term corporate bonds, listed in € with durations of less than 3 years. This fund is managed by Adriaan Klop, who joined Bryan Garnier in 2006. The objective? To achieve over a minimum recommended investment period, a net annual return greater than EONIA plus 2%. The strategy combines two approaches: duration and spread.

An economic scenario including expectations of rate movement, sector developments and movements 'spread' credit defines the portfolio construction. Transactions are then optimized through careful monitoring of yields levels, durations, cash (issue size) and risk rating associated with values. In that purpose, with an analysis from the macro- to the micro-economic statements, we define our approach as a top-down one.

Bryan Garnier Credit Fund finds out its performance in fixed rate corporate bonds (investment grade, 60% of the portfolio) and speculative ones (High Yield, 40%). Convertible bonds and floating rate bonds also make up the funds. Adriaan Klop follows carefully warning signals about issuers (downgrades, turnover evolution, debt ratios, etc ...). He makes as well occasional arbitration (for instance if the objective has been achieved), and deals with ‘smaller’ issuers in order to always obtain a better information.
